Sentence frames can be used to help students scaffold their learning. The goal is that students will use the sentence frames to help facilitate academic discussions. The list should be strategically used by the teacher, only focusing on a couple of options, to help the students better understand how to respond in certain situations. The frames should be used as a scaffold (used in the beginning) and removed as the year continues. Feel free to add or edit to best fit your class or situation. The following link provides more information on the use of sentence frames in the classroom.
